Despite the voluntary help, there are of course costs: For example, the rent for the office has to be paid, we have to finance our educational events and our public relations work also costs money. Our last MOIA Meetup focused on Software Quality Management. At MOIA’s beautiful office there was a great atmosphere even before the actual start of the event and our participants were already chatting lively with each other while the Meetup space was slowly filling up. Anja opened the event and handed over the microphone to Gabi Wegner, our host at MOIA, and to our first speaker Ada Pohl - Senior Quality Assurance Specialist at MOIA.
Clear the way for a more female IT: Third conference on the blockchain technology “#moinblockchain” from moinworld in Hamburg The Women Techmakers community, blockchain start-ups and representatives of global players such as IBM and Otto GmbH met last week at the HSBA Innovation Center in Hamburg to exchange experiences and learn more about blockchain technology. The moinworld team around founder Anja Schumann invited an international audience to the Hanseatic city with leading speakers from IBM, ConsenSys, Parity Technologies, Rabobank, Jolocom, Hengeler Mueller and Holochain.
Gender Equality 2.0 For the first time this year, the Senate of the City of Hamburg has awarded the Innovation in Digital Equality Award for equal opportunities and the visibility of women. Two women won the prize and 25,000€ prize money: Anja Schumann, founder of moinworld e.V., was one of them. The award was given by Katharina Fegebank on 18 October 2019. She also explained what is hidden behind the award: “With the IDEA Award we honor innovative concepts and outstanding achievements for equality in the digital space.
Meetup Agile Talks @ NEW WORK SE on 15th of October 2019 The topic agility of our Meetup at NEW WORK SE, formerly XING SE aroused special interest: More than 150 participants had signed up and the event room was full to capacity when our four invited experts gave short lightning talks on agile methods and the group then split up into Agile Corner Talks.
