“ I think there is still a long way to achieve gender equality in the professional world.”
Who are you? What do we need to know about you?
I am Christelle. I am a French-Mexican, living in Hamburg. I’m an optimistic person who loves to learn and gain new experiences.
Why did you join our program? What makes it special?
I joined the program because I felt I could help women with my experience. I feel it is important to give back to other people. And I would be happy to know that I can help in general, but also particularly women. I think there is still a long way to achieve gender equality in the professional world.
The moinworld mentoring program is accessible and well-organized. The communication is very easy and there is a lot of freedom in how we manage it. On top, the diversity of profiles within mentees and mentors adds a lot of value to this experience. I also appreciate every exchange I have with the other mentors.
What are the challenges of being a mentor?
The main challenge for me was to build a relationship. Breaking the ice and asking the first questions are easy but building a meaningful relationship is a lot harder.
What do you love most about being a mentor?
I love to meet new people and find out what their motivation is.
What connects you two (mentor and mentee)?
My current mentee and I are connected by the fact that we are both from Latin countries living in Germany. It brings a lot of similarity in the way we perceive the culture.
Apply today here. A moinworld member will get in touch with you for the next steps within 1 week.
