Moin Moin! My name is Zeynep and I am a Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering master student at the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH). As a young, independent woman, I have always sought to find solutions to problems we face in industry. Three years ago, before I came to Germany, I started my professional life and I worked as an R&D Researcher and an International Regulatory Affairs Assistant Specialist. Now, I am a student research assistant at the Institute of Multiphase Flows at TUHH headed by Prof. Schlüter in the Research Group “Reactive Bubbly Flows” supported by the German Research Foundation (DFG) and working on detection techniques and image processing. Therefore, programming has started to play an important role either in my professional life or educational life! That’s why I came across with moinworld.
In industry I observed men dominate the job opportunities of application/process/technical service engineer and I think we need more women in science and technology to provide equity.
Therefore, we should push the limits of current knowledge, keep our eyes open to catch the opportunities and be active as much as we can! I believe men and women can examine a problem from a different perspective and have experienced the power of brainstorm and knowledge exchange during my meetings as well! When we combine our knowledge and skills together, everything will be easier.
Due to my passion, I have decided to improve myself in programming and I have experienced such a great course! The learning way depends not only on the theory, but mostly on more practice. That’s why it is very interesting and effective for me! I can clearly say that the course content is well prepared. It also has some animations and also competitions, which take our attention and make the learning outcomes more memorable :). In addition, the course content has some crucial tricks and information. Since the logic is same, we can implement them in our further works. Moreover, I made new friends and enlarged my network. Moinworld! Thank you for your efforts and activities for bringing people together in your very practical computing courses.
