Dr. Carmen Schneider is a lawyer and partner with Chatham Partners LLP in Hamburg. She studied law in Gießen and Bonn and obtained her doctorate in the field of energy law after a research period at Centre de Recherche en Economie et Droit de l’Energie in Montpellier, France. Her clients include utilities, investors, and project developers in the energy industry. She focuses on project development, energy contract law, regulatory and energy trading. She supports M&A transactions and financing projects in the energy sector and represents clients in arbitration proceedings. Recently, she has been involved in a number of blockchain projects in the energy sector and is part of the energy committee of the Federal Blockchain Association.
